Words

Take a minute to stop and think about the thousands, or more accurately, millions of words that were published today. A great proportion of these were devoted to political reporting, analysis, and most of all, opinion. You are unlikely to go through today without consuming these words in one form or another (whether it be via newspapers, the internet, or television). Perhaps you have a particular reaction to what is being said. Perhaps they made you angry, frustrated, annoyed. Perhaps these feelings are amplified by the fact that you have no meaningful place to go to where you can register your response (save for a few online comment streams with content that ranges from the truly insightful to the bilious and downright hateful). Well all that is about to change. YourView has been developed to give voice to your thoughts and feelings, and have them count. YourView is coming, very soon. Sign up now and be among the first to have your voice heard.

  1. There is a new organisation starting called the “Australian Taxpayers Alliance”. I’m hopefully that this will be a useful vehicle for countering all the annoying and frustratingly naive big government rhetoric that is mindlessly propagated by our media. But if you can help also that would be great.

YourView is not of course intended to push (or counter) any particular viewpoint, but hopefully it will help us to rise above rhetoric and ‘spin’ from wherever it originates.
